After Drey's promising start as an actor and directing theatre, he got wise and decided to study; starting with a BA in Art History following into an MA in Film & Architectural History at Edinburgh University.
After a stint at the BBC making Art & Architecture documentaries, he decided to move into advertising, gaining a coveted place on the graduate training scheme at McCann Erickson. He went on to found Nomadic Films in 1999 with a friend and fellow director with the aim to create and produce broadcast, drama and digital branded content.
Drey has directed a wide range of films in every medium available and for some of the largest international brands such as Hugo Boss, Max Factor, Gucci, Nikon & Pirelli to name but a few. He has also directed TV shows and documentaries for the likes of ITV, Sky, National Geographic & the History Channel as well.
Years after co-directing his first feature and a number of shorts with his fellow co-founder, Drey is now prepping his first solo feature.
